aclub logo 150x32 New A|Club ProgramI’ve had a Sofitel Privilege card.  In September Accor
 New A|Club Program informed me that Sofitel program ended and that they are launching a new program A|Club that involves all their branded hotels: Sofitel, Pullman, M Gallery, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Mercure, All Seasons, Ibis. Today my new A|Club plastic card has finally arrived by post. It’s a platinum level.

Program is divided into 2 groups:

A|Club with 4 levels: Basic, Silver, Gold and Platinum. You get 2 points every 1€ spent at Sofitel, Pullman, MGallery, Novotel, Mercure and Suitehotel (1 point for 1€ at Ibis, all seasons and ClubMed). Need 10 stayings in 1 year to get a Silver card.

A| Club Favorite Guest: cost of membership is 270€ (220€ as introductory offer until Dec, 31st). You earn 3,5 points every 1€ spent in all hotels. Until now membership cost was 130€ for those living outside of France. You get discounts up to 15% on room rates.

2000 A|Club points can be redeemed for an hotel voucher of 40€  to be ordered online and received by mail.

4000 A|Club points can be redeemed for 2000 air miles with Air France, KLM, BA, Lufthansa, Delta, US, Quantas (4000 points), Singapore and Thai miles programs.

Other benefits are:

  • up to 20% discount with Europcar booking a car rental via this site and 40€ voucher in exchange of 2000 A|Club points;
  • get 1 point every 1€ spent at ClubMed if booking is made via clubmed.com and 40€ voucher in exchange of 2000 A|Club points;
  • for Gold and Platinum: room upgrades - only if you ask upon your arrival at the hotel and depending on availability, so no guarantee! - and late check out until 4pm (on request).
  • If you have not enrolled yet to this program, I recommend to do it: A|Club involves about 2000 hotels and there is a vast selection across Europe with many prices ranges. Enroll here.

    Enrolling into the Favorite Guest could be convenient only if you plan to spend more than 20 nights per year to recover cost of membership via extra discounts.

    Programs’ fine prints can be found here.
